At ROSTAING, we think of professionals, budding do-it-yourselfers, green hands in the making, but also of toddlers!
And because teaching them the right gestures and reflexes is essential, we offer them a range of protective gloves adapted to their little hands.
How can we raise awareness about hand protection from a young age?
In the same way that children are taught to wear sunscreen from a young age, they are also taught to wear gloves when appropriate.
It takes patience, a lot of pedagogy, and the desire to include this reflex in their habits so that they can do “like grown-ups” while protecting themselves.
If they do not get into the habit of protecting their hands from childhood, they will not consider wearing gloves as an obligation once they are adults.
Indeed, children tend to want to do the same activities as their parents, whether it is small gardening jobs or DIY.
But the use of children’s gloves is not limited to these two activities. Our pairs are also suitable for painting, biking, scooter riding, or even tree climbing…
At ROSTAING, we are working to ensure that our pairs of gloves specially designed for children are comfortable, very thin and give great freedom of movement.
This initiative comes from a desire to make children aware of hand protection in order to reduce hand accidents once they become adults.
What are the specificities of the ZAMIS range?
Our children’s range ZAMIS has been designed with a panel of mothers and children whose feedback has allowed us to improve our initial models with practical additions.
We can mention for example the addition of a leash to allow children to hang their gloves on their hands so they don’t lose them or a grip function to hold the handlebars of their bike for example.
All models are suitable for both girls and boys with colorful and cute visuals (little animal heads) so that wearing the glove is also a pleasure for them.
Our ZAMIS range is sold in garden centers, DIY stores, food stores with a whole universe (displays, merch) allowing the stores to propose a complete and attractive concept.
We suggest associating our pairs of gloves for children with the shoes (boots and clogs) of our partner, Rouchette, which complement our products (Anabel/Axel/Gaston/Margot models).
Gloves of the ZAMIS range do not – fortunately – obey to PPE protection standards of type 2 or 3 since children are not supposed to practice activities that put their little hands at risk.
Thus, the gloves for children are type 1 protection against minor risks. They can protect against small scratches, dirt, but most importantly, they can keep the hand warm and dry if needed.
What are the models of the ZAMIS range?
There are today eight models of gloves in the ZAMIS range as well as a small apron to complete the concept.
The historical Anabel the ladybug, Axel the bee in silk-screen printed mesh and Gaston the hedgehog and Margot the bird, more waterproof with a latex palm coating.
Prosper the polar bear is the warm and soft version of our screen-printed mesh model.
A 2020 novelty, Arthur for painting is the first long length waterproof glove suitable for small hands, ideal for painting or activities requiring a high degree of impermeability.
Our latest one, Eugene the reindeer, will be on sale from January 2021. It is a mid-season nitrile coated glove, ideal for latex allergies. Moreover, this material does not bleach in store unlike latex. It is also fluffy and soft and warm inside!
For each type of work, each environment, each risk, there is at least one Rostaing model designed to protect all hands, even those of small workers.
